Microsoft Teams
Starting with Microsoft Teams, there’s a new Tasks app that lets users get an overall view of tasks and assignments from apps like Microsoft To Do, Planner and Outlook. The Tasks app also comes with a List view, Graph API, and Power Automate. The new Tasks app is available first to Microsoft Teams users on desktop.
Power Automate in Microsoft Teams is also getting new actions and triggers. You can now add a new team to a business process by using the new “create a team” action. @mentions can now be used in flows so the recipient receives it. Two new triggers let you create customised message actions for certain business processes. You can also notify team members who have been removed from a team. Microsoft has also made it easier for users to access Visio content on Teams.
Microsoft has added new features to Whiteboard on Teams. You can now quickly add sticky notes, move and reorder objects on a canvas. Microsoft also says that Whiteboard is now “faster than ever”.
Microsoft Edge
Microsoft’s Edge browser has also received some new features. You can now export to OneNote with Collections, and Picture Dictionary is coming to Immersive Reader. More features on Microsoft Edge include five different highlighter colours, support for screen readers, and viewing and validating digital signatures with the built-in PDF reader.
Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 customers should get better assistance and help from FastTrack. The admin center in Microsoft Center also has an option for SMBs to easily deploy a lightweight security baseline policy for their Windows 10 systems. These are the latest features rolled out for Microsoft 365 products this month. Microsoft plans to announce more features at its upcoming Ignite session next month. - HT Tech
