Tema bagi seminar ini adalah ““THE PLIGHT OF THE ROHINGYAN: SEARCHING FOR SOLUTIONS” dan ianya mencakupi konflik yang dialami oleh etnik Rohingya. Seminar ini juga dianjurkan bagi memahami sejarah etnik Rohingya, mencari, mengenalpasti masalah yang timbul seterusnya mencadangkan resolusi dan penyelesaian yang sebaiknya bagi meminimakan masalah yang berlaku.
Isu Rohingya adalah isu yang semakin kritikal desawarsa ini dengan serangan menggila daripada sami Rakhine Buddhist dan tentera Burma. Ianya juga menjadi sebab utama seminar ini dilakukan bagi meletakkan tekanan kepada masyarakat antarabangsa untuk menghentikan pembersihan etnik terhadap etnik Rohingya.
Seminar akan akan disertai delegasi beberapa Ngo luar negara, dalam negara, Jabatan2 Kerajaan, Institusi awam/ Swasta/, tokoh-tokoh politik & Akademik.

Mr Tin Soe, Executive Director of Kaladan Press Network, Myanmar on “Pushing for Racial Equality in Myanmar”
Speaker 5:
Tan Sri Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar Syed Jaafar, The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Special Envoy to Myanmar, Malaysia on “The Plight of Rohingya: OIC Perspective”.
Speaker 6:
Dr Surin Pitsuwan, 12th Secretary General of ASEAN on “ASEAN Perspectives on the Unresolved Problems of Rohingyan: Stateless, Illegal Migrants and Human Trafficking”.
Speaker 7: Mr Ghaffar Aziz, representative from International Union of Muslim Scholars (title will be announced later).
Seminar ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan beberapa resolosi yang boleh diangkat ke ASEAN DAN PBB bagi membela nasib dan masa depan etnik Rohingya di Myanmar. Hasil daripada resolosi ini juga diharap dapat dapat memberi tekanan dan harapan agar kerajaan Mynmar memberi keadilan sewajarnya kepada etnik Rohingya yang juga rakyatnya sendiri.
